For job seekers the 5th Annual Job Seeker survey will be launched by the end of October. Be sure to check out our site and Blog regularly and please give us your opinions on the job market for older workers in Canada when the survey is up.

One of the questions we most often field from reporters, researchers and job seekers alike is "What job markets are the hottest for older workers?" It's an interesting question because the answer shows some of the areas in which Canadian companies are facing labour shortages and gaps as older workers retire.

Our experience says that just like any other potential employee the more experience, education and specialized training a job seeker has the more in demand they'll be. Our most in demand jobs are:

• Jobs in health care - especially nursing jobs. Organizations and agencies across Canada are constantly looking for trained nursing professionals for both temporary and full-time work.
• Jobs for certified accountants
• Jobs for persons with bookkeeping experience
