Position Summary:
• Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of Nursing care for patients in a culture of "care partnership model"
• Assess and classify physical and emotional condition of patient through reports from staff and interviews with patient and family
• Responsible for the provision of nursing care, teaching and coaching to clients and their families
Key Qualifications:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS Certificate
• Ability to perform phlebotomies and perform IV starts
• Reliable and flexible individual to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Experience in Gerontology, Long Term Care and slow stream Rehab an asset
• Ability to think critically and effectively in order to prioritize needs
• Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Positive attendance and work record essential
