Key Qualifications:
• Baccalaureate degree in Allied Health discipline (OT, PT preferred) required
• Master"s degree in Allied Health Discipline or Adult Education preferred
• Recent, relevant clinical and teaching experience preferably in Neurosciences and/or Acute Care settings
• Recent advanced clinical expertise related to nursing or other allied health care of specific patient populations
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish positive relations with all staff on the team
• Demonstrated skills in program planning, consultation, communication and presentation
• Effective interpersonal skills
• You are an active member of your professional association
• Positive work and attendance record required
Position Summary:
The Clinical Educator role supports the hospital"s corporate goals and objectives within patient care units and throughout the organization. The educator role functions as a practitioner, consultant, educator and facilitator for all team members and management. Key to this role is identification of staff learning needs followed by development, implementation and evaluation of programs. Apart from "unit-system" work, the Clinical Educator provides consultation and support throughout the hospital and participates in hospital wide educational initiatives, working groups or committees as required.
